California based Widgetize today announces FantasyLens 2.3, an update to their fun and unique portrait generation app for iPhone/iPod touch. With innovative features like one-touch automatic color matching, FantasyLens makes it easy for anyone to create composite portraits using photos of friends, family alike. Turn anyone into an astronaut, the Mona Lisa, a gigantic jumbotron ad, a sunflower and more – all without any prior image editing or Photoshop skills.

El Cerrito, California – Widgetize today is proud to announce FantasyLens 2.3, an update to their fun and unique portrait generation app for iPhone and iPod touch. With innovative features like one-touch automatic color matching, FantasyLens makes it easy for anyone to create composite portraits using photos of friends, family alike. Turn anyone into an astronaut, the Mona Lisa, a gigantic jumbotron ad on Times Square, a sunflower, the Statue of Liberty and more – all without any prior image editing or Photoshop skills.

FantasyLens ships with 39 fun-to-use templates to choose from. To get started, browse through the photo template gallery and pick one for the occasion. Next, take a photo with the iPhone’s camera (or use a photo from the iPhone or iPod library). To position the photo so it aligns properly to the template, tap the hand button, then move the photo by dragging. Pinch to zoom in or out. The application uses the accelerometer to perform photo rotations. Just hold the iPhone or iPod vertically (like taking a picture), tap the rotate button, then rotate the device.

FantasyLens distinguishes itself from similar apps with its ability to blend colors and match skin tones automatically, activated by touching the magic wand button. This feature is a real time saver and also very fun to watch. For image editing pros who may want greater control, FantasyLens also offers fast and responsive sliders to precisely adjust brightness, contrast, color balance, saturation and hue.

Feature Highlights:
* One-touch automatic color matching
* Fast, responsive manual color sliders
* Fix adjustment mistakes with the Undo and Reset buttons
* 39 fun photo templates to choose from
* Fully self-contained (No WIFI or internet connectivity required)

“One of my favorite hobbies, and what Photoshop has come to be best known for, is making fun composite portraits of famous people, friends and family. You know, putting someone in a spacesuit or on a gigantic billboard, for example,” said William Kuo, co-founder of Widgetize. “But using photoshop to create this type of artwork is not trivial. My goal for FantasyLens was to capture the essence of what is fun about photoshopping friends and loved ones, then simplify it so it is intuitive and accessible to everyone, and aggressively optimize it so it runs smoothly on the iPhone to produce the best user experience possible.”

Device Requirements:
* iPhone or iPod touch 2.2 or later

Pricing and Availability:
FantasyLens 2.3 is only $0.99 (USD) and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Photography category. Users will receive extra templates in future updates. Promo codes are available upon request.

Happymagenta today announces Spyglass 1.2, an update to their popular digital compass and HUD display for iPhone 3GS devices. Developed specifically to leverage the iPhone’s unique capabilities, Spyglass turns any 3GS iPhone into a real-time digital spyglass and heads-up display with a live compass, GPS information, as well as tilt horizon – right over the live feed from the built-in camera or a map. Version 1.2 adds new overlay filters for cool military-styled effects and auto-rotated maps.

Minsk, Belarus – Happymagenta today is proud to announce Spyglass 1.2, an update to their popular digital compass and HUD display for iPhone 3GS devices. Developed specifically to leverage the iPhone’s unique capabilities, Spyglass turns any 3GS iPhone into a real-time digital spyglass and heads-up display with a live compass, GPS information, as well as tilt horizon – right over the live feed from the built-in camera or even an auto-rotated map.

Spyglass is a fun-to-use augmented reality tool. Just like in airplanes, sci-fi movies or military-styled night vision binoculars, Spyglass works in any orientation encompassing a three-dimensional space. While viewing through the iPhone’s built-in camera, tilt or rotate the device to see incredibly detailed, live information in any direction. All Spyglass features, such as digital zoom (up to 5x), color filters, HUD colors and imperial or metric units are easily configurable.

Feature Highlights:
* Heads-up display (like in planes or sci-fi movies)
* Compass (works with any orientation)
* Tilt to the horizon meter (for any orientation)
* GPS (coordinates, altitude, speed, course)
* Digital zoom (up to 5x)
* Maps with auto-rotation
* Configurable color filters
* Configurable HUD colors
* Configurable imperial or metric units

“The idea behind Spyglass was initially to create a fun as well as useful tool similar to binoculars that are commonly used in sci-fi, military and action movies.,” said Pavel Ahafonau, founder and CEO of Happymagenta. “However given the great response, we decided to develop it further by adding a styled compass over live, automatically rotating maps. We even have other features planned for future releases.”

Version 1.2 adds auto-rotation maps and new overlay filters for cool, night vision styled military effects. When in compass mode, the heads-up display is shown over satellite maps that automatically rotates as the user moves along. When maps are enabled (using the Info screen), the GPS coordinates are shown in real-time. When maps are disabled no Internet access is needed. As well as a fun-to-use novelty app, Spyglass can also serve as a useful tool during hunting, fishing or other sports related activities.

Device Requirements:
* iPhone 3GS 3.1 or later
* 0.3 MB
* Internet Connection (for Maps feature)

Pricing and Availability:
Spyglass 1.2 is only $0.99 (USD) and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Navigation category. Review copies are available upon request.

Christmas during a recession has people opting to use helloCards version 1.3.3 to send Holiday greetings this year. Due to the economy, it may be the only way that some busy and broke families can afford it. The high cost of printed cards and postage rules out the traditional method. helloCards is an iPhone and iPod Touch app with a databank of 200 stock cards. They have something for every occasion.

Waretown, NJ – The 2009 Holiday season may be better financially than last year but many are still feeling the economic restraints. Luxury items, such as the traditional Christmas card mailing is out of the question for people who are busy trying to make ends meet. As a viable alternative, they are turning to inexpensive ways to send seasonal wishes, with helloCards topping the list as number one choice.

While the recession may be easing up, it’s not over. Nor are the far reaching effects that it’s had on the working class, who represent the majority of the population. Some may be able to afford a little more for loved ones this Christmas, however things have not bounced back enough yet for many of the traditional extras that add to the season. For that reason, the sending of cards via iPhone and iPod Touch apps has become extremely popular over the past year, with helloCards leading the pack. People appreciate paying a low, one-time fee of $1.99 to be able to send personalized Christmas cards to everyone on their list.

The climb in market share for helloCards isn’t just about price. With everyone finding less and less time for themselves and their families, it is also a fast alternative to hand-writing cards and envelopes, applying stamps and going to the post office. People are able to personalize the helloCards with text and stock images or their own embedded photos quickly and easily, which is a huge selling feature. Once the card is made, it is sent to the recipient’s inbox via the built-in email application.

To sample this product, there is a free version for people to try, called helloCards Lite. It works the same as the full app but has a smaller card library.

About helloCards
helloCards is an iPhone and iPod Touch app with a databank of 200 stock cards. They have something for every occasion. To customize the greetings, personal text and images can be embedded very quickly and easily. There are no usage limits on helloCards, they can be sent everyday, all day long. The $1.99 price tag is all you need to pay, nothing is extra.

Device Requirements:
* iPhone or iPod Touch OS 3.0 or later

Pricing and Availability:
helloCards 1.3.3 is only $1.99 (USD) and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Social Networking category. Promo codes are available for qualified reviewers. Please specify the website or blog you represent when making your request.

GeoLogTag offers an all-in-one geotagging solution for photos taken with any digital camera. GeoLogTag Free keeps logged locations for 2 hours instead of 90 days.
Zwijndrecht, Belgium – Galarina today releases free versions of GeoLogTag and PhotoToMac for iPhone and iPod Touch. GeoLogTag offers an all-in-one geotagging solution for photos taken with any digital camera. GeoLogTag Free keeps logged locations for 2 hours instead of 90 days. PhotoToMac transfers photos taken with an iPhone and saved photos over WiFi to a Mac shared folder. PhotoToMac Free transfers the photos with a lower resolution than the full version.

GeoLogTag Free:
GeoLogTag facilitates the geotagging of digital photos. While photos are taken with a digital camera (DSLR, point & shoot) GeoLogTag continuously tracks your location just like a traditional GPS data logger. Locations can also be logged every 3, 5 or 10 minutes to prolong battery life. If the photos are stored on a Mac or on Flickr, GeoLogTag geotags the photos using the logged locations. Windows users can geotag their photos by using the GPX file generated by GeoLogTag in combination with a Windows geotagging application. The only limitation in the free version of GeoLogTag is that logged locations are kept for 2 hours instead of 90 days.

PhotoToMac Free:
The photos are transferred in 480×320 resolution (full resolution when using the full version) and multiple photos can be transferred in batch. The three step process is very easy:

1. Select a Mac from a list of file sharing Macs on the WiFi network.
2. Select a folder from the list of shared folders.
3. Select the photos to be transferred. Camera Roll photos can be selected on an iPhone and Saved Photos can be selected on an iPod Touch. A demo video is available on the PhotoToMac website.

PhotoToMac requires no cables, no internet connection, no browser and no emails. The only requirement is that the iPhone or iPod Touch is on the same WiFi network as the Mac. Photos can be transferred to different shared folders on different Macs. An in-app assistant guides users through the one-time shared folder setup. The assistant only pops up if PhotoToMac cannot detect file sharing Macs or if no shared folders are available for the selected Mac.

System Requirements:
* iPhone or iPod Touch 3.0 or later
* Mac OS 10.4 or higher

Pricing and Availability:
GeoLogTag Free is available worldwide in the App Store Photography category. The full version costs 4.99 (USD). PhotoToMac Free is available worldwide in the App Store Photography category. The full version costs 0.99 (USD).
