Independent iPhone developer Francis Dierick today announces BibleThumper for iPhone and iPod touch. BibleThumper allows atheists to keep the most funny and irrational bible verses right in their pocket. With the BibleThumper App on their iPhone an atheist is always ready to confront fundamental christians or have a little fun among friends. BibleThumper randomly displays interesting Bible verses. The user can shake the app to see a fresh verse.

Konstanz, Germany – BibleThumper allows atheists to keep the most funny and irrational bible verses right in their pocket. With the BibleThumper App on their iPhone an atheist is always ready to confront fundamental christians or have a little fun among friends. BibleThumper randomly displays interesting Bible verses. The user can shake the app to see a fresh verse. BibbleThumper contains a careful selection of the most funny and irrational quotes from the Bible.

This application is meant to counter the countless Bible verse applications currently available on the iPhone AppStore. None of those apps fulfill the needs of atheists: showing that basing your life on a 2000 year old fairy tale is not a very rational thing to do. By pointing out inconsistencies, BibleThumper hopes to raise awareness for atheism and its benefits to society.

User feedback has been overwhelmingly positive and the author is currently working on an update for the iPhone App.

User Review by by Valinore: “Finally a good use for the bible other than weighing down hotel drawers so they don’t blow away.”

User Review by rilus: “Very funny app and it goes to show that just like Christians can cherry-pick passages from the Bible to suit their whims, so can anyone else. Don’t buy into the mumbo jumbo that only their interpretation of the Bible is the right one. After all, that’s what every single Christian sect claims.”

Device Requirements:
iPhone and iPod Touch 3.0 or later

Pricing and Availability:
BibleThumper is only $1.99 (USD) and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Entertainment category.

ePapyrus Inc. today announces PDF-Pro Reader 1.3.1, a significant upgrade to its popular mobile PDF reader for iPhone and iPod Touch. Version 1.3.1 features a new Text Reflow View mode which increases the readability of PDF documents. This function allows users to extract only the text from the PDF document that they are reading. PDF-Pro is built on the powerful and proven PDF engine from ePapyrus Inc. that has been marketing its PDF products worldwide.

Seattle, Washington – ePapyrus Inc., the leader in mobile PDF tools, has just introduced a significant upgrade to its already extremely popular PDF-Pro for iPhone and iPod Touch mobile PDF reader available in the Apple AppStore since June of this year. The top added feature in this upgrade is the Text Reflow View mode. This function allows users to extract only the text from the PDF document that they are reading.

Since the display area on any iPhone or iPod device is significantly smaller than a PC monitor, sometimes it’s difficult to read the entire PDF document on the screen. To alleviate this problem, PDF-Pro now allows users to display only text without the images in a viewing document. Now, using this text reflow function users can read a PDF document without panning or zooming in or out of a document they are viewing. Furthermore, users can select any part of the text to copy and paste to another application.

PDF-Pro is built on the powerful and proven PDF engine from ePapyrus Inc. that has been marketing its PDF products worldwide. Not only can it handle single-byte character languages beautifully, but it can also read double-byte character languages such as Korean, Japanese and Chinese.

Device Requirements:
iPhone and iPod Touch 3.0 or later

Pricing and Availability:
PDF-Pro 1.3.1 for iPhone and iPod Touch is only $4.99 (USD) and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Business category. Please visit the PDF-Pro Website for more information about PDF-Pro for the iPhone and iPod Touch.

Vancouver, Canada – atPurpose Technologies today is proud to announce rsrc.atArchive, their new community driven article website for iPhone developers. Designed for developers, rsrc.atArchive aims to bring together existing iPhone development info into one easy and convenient-to-use online resource.

Site Functionality:
* Submit links to articles, tutorials, blogs, news, projects, utilities etc. (moderated)
* Comment on stories
* Search the content and categories
* Vote on favorites

“We came up with the idea for rsrc.atArchive when we started to investigate iPhone as a development platform for our new products.” said Marc Bellmont, atPurpose developer. “We immediately noticed the wealth of iPhone development information made available on developers blogs and community forums. We soon realized, however, that it took us a lot of time and googling to find the answers to our questions. During our learning process we kept collecting notes and building a library of links to blogs, articles, tutorials, libraries and anything else of relevance to iPhone development. It soon became apparent to us that other developers shared our need and vision for a single source of carefully collected iPhone development information, so we decided to provide one for the community with hopes of everyone contributing to it, to share and pass on what we learn.”

rsrc.atArchive was designed by iPhone developers for iPhone developers. It’s a great resource for finding out about the latest iPhone, news, latest software updates or just engaging with peers. Users may submit links to articles, tutorials, blogs, as well as news, projects, and utilities. Visitors to the website may search the content and categories, comment on stories and even vote on their favorites.

Readdle today announces ReaddleDocs 1.6, a new version of their popular document and file management solution for iPhone and iPod touch.
