Independent iPhone developer Jeremy Bassett today announces CallSaver 1.0 for iPhone and iPod touch. CallSaver aims to solve the problem of avoiding costly 0845 & 0870 UK telephone numbers. It allows users to directly browse an internal database to find alternative UK numbers. Users will be able to save money by accessing a database containing the most popular companies and authorities instantly.

Bristol, United Kingdom – CallSaver 1.0, the most complete solution yet to the problem of avoiding costly 0845 & 0870 UK telephone numbers, is now available. It is the first iPhone App that allows users to directly browse an internal database to find alternative UK numbers. Users are provided numbers with supporting information to ensure the call is placed correctly. Users will be able to save money by accessing a database containing the most popular companies and authorities instantly.

The user interface has no adverts and navigation to the required number is simple. CallSaver allows the user to feedback the call success, report obsolete numbers and submit their own suggestions and request numbers they require. The CallSaver database promises regular online updates from continued research and crowd sourcing the user base.

CallSaver features:
* Category Browsing
* Full Company Listing View
* User Number Submission Facility
* Call Feedback for Database Optimisation
* UK / International Number Formatting

Jeremy Bassett, the creator of CallSaver said on its release, “It has always infuriated me how my iPhone and landline bills always seem to have a charge line for so-called ‘local calls’ not covered by the inclusive deal. For nearly a year, I have been collecting the alternative numbers and building this iPhone App to help others avoid these high charges. It is just the start really, I hope to update the database regularly with user’s suggestions and continue research to make this database the number one resource. I am already working on the free update to Version 1.1 and this will add number search and address book integration to make it even easier to find and store numbers.”

Device Requirements:
iPhone and iPod touch 2.2.1 or later

Pricing and Availability:
CallSaver 1.0 is only $2.99 USD (£1.79) and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Utilities category.

Matrix Knowledge Management Pty Ltd today announced the launch of V Phone, a new application that lets iPhone users make VoIP calls and send SMS messages over IP. Rather than locking iPhone users into working with a single VoIP provider, it lets users choose between multiple providers of their choice for voice calling. With an intuitive, attractive user interface and simple installation, the V Phone makes it easy for anyone to save money and start getting more out of their mobile or cell phones.

Perth, Australia – Matrix Knowledge Management Pty Ltd today announced the launch of an exciting new application that lets iPhone users make VoIP calls and send SMS messages over IP. The V Phone offers a key advantage that is sure to grab the attention of users of other mobile VoIP software.

Rather than locking iPhone users into working with a single VoIP provider, it lets users choose between multiple providers of their choice for voice calling. The V Phone nullifies the single provider protocol and lets users choose the most cost-effective provider for each task, a capability that is unique among such programs. In addition, the V Phone app is the first ‘open and configurable’ app to also offer SMS messaging over IP.

The V Phone’s SMS features offers two standard VoIP provider networks, as well as an option for entering the user’s own provider of choice. The app’s VoIP calling and text messaging options works with WiFi, allowing for convenient coverage without the need for a SIM card. Additionally, iPhone users can now make 3G/GPRS/HSDPA VoIP calls. With an intuitive, attractive graphical user interface and simple installation steps, the V Phone makes it easy for anyone to save money and start getting more out of their mobile or cell phones.

Matrix has released a video on You Tube demonstrating to iPhone users on how easy it is to configure and use the app. Matrix has submitted the app to Apple for approval and believes it should be available in the App Store within 2 to 3 weeks.
